About this event

The aim of this training is to provide staff working with children and young people in a leisure setting with the knowledge and confidence to support positive emotional wellbeing. The training aims to build an awareness of mental health, the signs and symptoms of mental ill health, the support services available in Norfolk & Waveney and signposting that can be given to children, young people and families.

After the training, you will be a Mental Health Champion meaning that you will have access to continued support from the LINK team. This includes invitations to specialist training sessions, networking opportunities through LINK Locality Meetings, access to a personalised consultation service and regular updates via our LINK newsletter and website.

How will I access the sessions?

The sessions will be hosted on Zoom. For you to be able to access the training you will need a laptop or computer that also has a camera and a microphone. Details of the Zoom session will be emailed to participants prior to each training session.

What time does the event start and finish?

The sessions will begin at 6pm and end at 8pm. To ensure a prompt start, please enter the Zoom session by 5.55pm. There will be a break half-way through the session.

What is the refund policy?

This is a free event, however if you are unable to attend please contact the team at least 48 hours prior to the session.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the course?

Yes. After the event, you will receive a certificate, a copy of the PowerPoint slides via email and access to the Mental Health Champion portal on the LINK website.
